Fall is nearly here which means our 3rd Annual Apple and Pear Tasting Day is quickly approaching!
Drop by our location at 7156 Wellington Road 17, Elora on Saturday October 10th, from 9am to 3pm.
Enjoy samples of 80+ Apple varieties, as well as 20+ Pears, 8+ Asian Pears, Pawpaws, Sea Buckthorn, Haskaps, Hardy Kiwi, and more. Many of the apples and pears will be available to purchase (while quantities last).
Admission is $5.00
All proceeds benefitting a local charity (Lighthouse Ministries International). Admission includes fruit tasting and horse drawn wagon tours of the nursery, rose field, and orchards. Children 5 and under are FREE! (admission fees and vendors are cash payments only).
This year we will also have the following vendors on site:
Sand Hills Maple Products (maple sugar, maple syrup, and maple candy produced locally); Aunties Grove Preserves (homemade jams, relishes and preserves); Jewels Under the Kilt (Canadian made and sourced artisan nuts); Harmony Meadows Alpaca (sustainable Alpaca wool products); McDermott County Meadow (lavender products as well as flowers, fruits, vegetables and herbs); James Ferrier (pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks, squash, bales); LisaT Art (canvas paintings and hand painted apparel); Sunrise Apiaries (honey and bee products); Blue Pepper Tea Infusions (spice and herbal tea blends); Zing Foods (marinades); Healthy Prickly Concepts (cactus tortilla chips and tortillas); Truly Didas (chili oil, ghee, hot honey); and more!
Get your Thanksgiving pies! Pumpkin, apple, and more will be available, sliced or whole!
Burgers, sausages and hotdogs will be served by T&M BBQ Catering. Available from 10:30am - 2:30pm (not included with admission).
Tour our Rose Fields to see varieties in person and take advantage of our current sale pricing - ending October 12th.
Nursery Tours - take a tractor shuttle out, and a horse drawn wagon around the nursery fields to see where our trees are grown.
