This sturdy, easy-to-use meter needs no batteries. Simply insert the 17cm (6") probes near the roots to get a surprisingly accurate reading of the moisture! Keep your plants happy without overwatering.
The second function on this 2-way meter is a soil pH tester. Collect soil below 2" of the surface and mix with distilled water. Insert the meter 4-5" into the sample for a minute. The reading will give you a good idea of how alkaline or acidic your soil is.
