Active Ingredient: Copper, present as copper octanoate - 1.8%
Can be used in dormant and growing season.
Biodegradable - decomposes to a form useful for plants and microbes.
Copper octanoate is a fatty acid salt (soap) that combines copper and octanoic acid. It is a contact fungicide and bactericide that can be applied to foliage to control or suppress various plant diseases, on a broad range of trees, plants and vegetables using low concentrations of copper. While we do not encourage indiscriminate chemical intervention, we are relieved to be able to offer this product, especially for the prevention of peach leaf curl. It is essentially identical to 'Cueva Commercial', which we use in our orchards for fire blight and apple scab prevention when weather conditions elevate the risk of infection. Copper octanoate can also be used to prevent blight in tomatoes and black spot in roses. While this is one of the safest forms of copper to use, we still stress caution. Always follow the label directions.
Mixing rate 5-20mL per Litre of water. Use the highest rate for late fall dormant spray to prevent peach leaf curl.
Storage: Keep from freezing.
