Russian heritage tree discovered near Edmonton in 1923, so cold hardiness can be counted on. After renowned plant breeder,
Dr. Ieuan Evans began promoting it in the late 1970s, it eventually became known as the 'Evans' cherry. Amazingly productive English Morello type cherry with dark red rich fruit. Excellent for pies, jams and juices.

Overall I’m very pleased Whiffletree farms. I am a repeat customer packaging of shipments is excellent.
I was disappointed with the shipping this year. My package was supposed to ship on Tuesday and arrive on Thursday. The package shipped in Wednesday and arrived on Friday forcing me to change my plans for planting.

Great product. Doesn’t always grow well on PEI though. I’m hoping with a new location these trees will thrive

We received the plants well packed and in excellent condition. I planted them right away and they are growing nicely. The whole ordering process was pleasant and trouble-free. I will not hesitate to order other trees and bushes from you. The only disappointment was the way the plants were deliverd: without warning they were left on my front step. I would have appreciated a simple knock on the door.
