What is Orchard Grade?
An 'orchard grade' is a tree that may be somewhat shorter, slightly crooked, or a bit scratched, or for some other reason is not a perfect front lawn specimen. These trees will work just as well in an orchard as a first or number one would, since they still produce the very same fruit.
What is a 2 year old tree?
A '2 year old tree' is one that has grown an extra season in our nursery field.
All our trees are planted in the field in the spring as rootstock. They are grafted in August of the 1st year. Most of our trees are dug out in November of the 2nd year. Some trees are in the ground for another season. We dig these in November of the 3rd year. These are considered to be '2 year old trees'.
A '2 year old tree' has bigger roots, a thicker trunk, and more branching (They might start fruiting a year earlier).

We are looking forward to using this product on our fruit trees next spring and have used it on our lilies with great success. It has kept the scarlet lily beetles from decimating my lilies.

This product was not available here in BC for home gardening. After researching it we wanted to use it as we have nesting hummingbirds and the trap alternatives are toxic to them.

Could this be the holy grail against rose chaffers and Japanese beetles? I think so! I sprayed my apple tree with Surround at the end of June and only did a small followup coat. Unfortunately, I only found this product midway through my battle with the American rose chaffer, but since spaying I have not seen any in my apple tree. I also saw some Japanese beetles in my raspberries, but absolutely none in the apple tree! Last year when I moved to this new house, in late August, you couldn't even tell it was an apple tree due to the damage caused by the Japanese beetles (skeletal leafs and no fruit). This year I am hopeful! A little goes a long way... Even after several heavy rains in the east Ottawa region, the tree is still coated with the fine silt. The fruit also seems to be continuing their growth unaffected. Highly recommend!

I used Surround WP for the first time (on cucumber and mainly brassicas) as they’re too big to cover and insect pressures are real. 😡🤯. It appears to work well until the rains repeated heavily or newer leaves attracted the pests again. This product is confirmed as a game changer 🙌🏾 and I will be using it more timely and properly next season. Although I made a mess using it, that too I can improve. Thanks again for affording such an effective product!
