The Parfuma® collection from Kordes combines ambrosial old-fashioned fragrance and flower form with up-to-date, dependable disease resistance. As the First Crush™ buds begin to open they reveal a deep red colour, but the petals quickly unfurl to a soft, creamy blush with delicate silver/pink shades in the centre. The crisp, fruity fragrance is reminiscent of lemon balm and apricot, with muted jasmine notes. In addition to satisfying the senses, First Crush™ has the added maintenance-free benefit of being self-cleaning (or self-deadheading). This variety was awarded the Rome Silver Medal in 2011, and the Kortrijk/Courtrai Gold Medal in 2015.

What is Orchard Grade?

An 'orchard grade' is a tree that may be somewhat shorter, slightly crooked, or a bit scratched, or for some other reason is not a perfect front lawn specimen. These trees will work just as well in an orchard as a first or number one would, since they still produce the very same fruit.
