The rich velvety red of Canadian Glory's ruffled petals seems almost luminous as the blossoms open. One of the distinctive attributes of this election is that the colour is still just as vibrant a week or more later. These gorgeous blooms exhibit exceptional staying power with very little fading as they ripen, whether the weather be rainy or dry. Of course, dry conditions are what the bees and other pollinators prefer as they do seem to favour these fragrant semi-double flowers. The compact, tidy bush is decked out from tip to toe with the clean, leathery foliage which has become a Jalbert trademark.
