In 2009, Kentucky State University released its first cultivar- KSU-Atwood, named after its long time college president, Rufus B. Atwood. Medium-sized, round fruit has a greenish-blue skin and yellow-orange flesh with a unique mango-pineapple, banana-like flavour. Extremely productive.
