Indian Free is a freestone variety developed from the historic Indian Blood clingstone peach, which was grown by Thomas Jefferson at his famous Monticello orchard. Indian Free continues the tradition of a rich, sweet, distinctive flavour when fully ripe. 'Distinctive' also describes the appearance of the white flesh which is mottled with scarlet under the red-blushed skin and around the pit. The tree is dependable and productive with remarkable resistance to peach leaf curl.
