You don't have to live in the Sahara desert to grow this fig. In fact, it is one of the best for areas with cooler summers, such as maritime or coastal regions. Large, yellowish-green fruit with sugary sweet, strawberry-pink flesh. Desert King is a reliable and very productive 'San Pedro' type fig for folks outside of normal fig growing territory (which translates to 'Canada' and 'containers'!)
